Micah McKee
Micah McKee (she/her) is a New York-based dancer, performer, and educator. Originally from Tennessee, she earned her B.F.A. from George Mason University School of Dance studying under esteemed faculty members such as Roger Jeffrey, Christina Robson, and Susan Shields. McKee was honored with the Kevin Campbell Scholarship during her time at George Mason and was selected to perform Robert Battle’s Awakening under the direction of Elisa Clark.
With foundational training in Ballet, Pointe, Limón, Horton, Contemporary, Graham, Jazz, Gaga, and Paul Taylor Technique, McKee furthered her training at prestigious intensives such as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Orsolina28, RUBBERBAND, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and Bates Dance Festival. Additionally, she has expanded her artistic range through workshops with acclaimed artists like Thryn Saxon, Micaela Taylor, Joy Davis, and New Dialect.
McKee’s career began as a company member with Gin Dance in Washington D.C. performing contemporary ballet repertoire. Since moving to New York, McKee has joined Forza Dance Company performing contemporary works by Michaela Barron as well as Caterina Rago Dance Company performing rigorous, Graham-based contemporary repertoire.
